Title: Med Surg Neuro RN

Location: Fort Walton Beach, FL

Pay Rate: $27.72-39.60 per hour (depending on experience) + $20,000 sign-on bonus + Relocation Assistance up to $5,000

Schedule: Day Shift (7a-7p)


About the Client:

Our client is a Level II Trauma center located in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. They are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Medical Surgical Registered Nurse to join their team. This opportunity offers a chance to work in a patient-centered care model within a supportive and collaborative environment. The facility boasts a 30-bed unit with approximately 29 full-time employees, providing ample resources and support to its nursing staff. The position reports to the Director of the unit and is open due to employee turnover. The hiring process involves an initial 30-minute phone call with HR or the hiring manager, followed by further steps leading to a final hiring decision by the CNO/ACNO.


Job Description:

The Medical Surgical Neuro RN will provide comprehensive care and treatment to adult patients with a focus on neurological conditions. This role involves clinical assessment, autonomous treatment management, patient advocacy, and collaboration with an interdisciplinary team. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to patient safety, effective communication, and efficient utilization of resources.


Required Skills:

  • Active Registered Nurse license in the State of Florida (or ability to obtain prior to start)
  • 1+ years of Acute Care RN experience
  • Nursing Diploma or ASN; BSN preferred
  • BLS (AHA Healthcare provider) certification
  • NIH Stroke Scale certification (must be obtained within 30 days of employment)


Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in a Level II Trauma center
  • Strong neurological assessment and care skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
