We are working with a prominent healthcare facility in Ft. Walton Beach, Florida, to find an experienced Manager of Intensive Care Unit (ICU). This hospital, a 336-bed Level II Trauma Center, is seeking a dynamic nursing leader to oversee its ICU operations, which includes a 42-bed Critical Care unit. This position offers a great opportunity to lead a high-performing team within a facility that provides comprehensive care for critically ill patients.


Location: Ft. Walton Beach, FL 32547

Employment Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire

Salary Range: $95,000 - $110,000 per year (based on experience)

Relocation Assistance: Available (case-by-case)

Remote Status: Onsite

Reports to: Director of Critical Care


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily operations and staffing of the ICU to ensure the highest quality of patient-centered care.
  • Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory standards while fostering a culture of accountability.
  • Manage patient admissions and discharges for efficient care throughput.
  • Facilitate interdisciplinary care coordination within and across departments.
  • Lead staff performance evaluations, scheduling, and employee engagement efforts to maintain a motivated team.
  • Manage department expenses, optimize the use of supplies and equipment, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Support the hospital’s objectives by enhancing patient safety and clinical outcomes through evidence-based practices.


Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of recent acute care leadership experience in a critical care setting (as a Charge RN, Supervisor, or Manager).
  • Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required.
  • Active Florida RN licensure.
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required at the time of hire.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in managing a large ICU department, including neuro, trauma, surgical, and respiratory critical care cases.
  • Proven track record in staff leadership and resource management in a fast-paced hospital environment.
