OCI Solutions Architect
Department: Strategic Infrastructure & Innovation
Location: Fully Remote (EST hours)
Travel: Quarterly/Monthly trips to capitol district
Schedule: Full-time 40 hours per week. willing to work some nights/weekends and will be able to take weekdays off in this scenario
Compensation: $120,000 - $160,000
Credentials: Bachelor's in CompSci or related field/experience, must be able to obtain low-level clearances
About the Role:
Our client is a consulting company that supports a federal government agency as a Cloud solutions provider and is seeking a skilled OCI Architect to join their high-impact team within their federal government division. This role is ideal for a Cloud Architect that thrives in dynamic and client-facing environments, handling critical infrastructure issues and enjoys driving change in places that are often stagnant and overlooked. You’ll be the technical lead for the client's Oracle Cloud infrastructure plan, implementing and optimizing a cloud solution that is very customizable but not so user friendly. In this way, the individual hired will work intimately with federal government officers and employees to ensure seamless delivery and performance for the federal government agency.
Day-to-Day:
- Architect and deploy scalable cloud environments tailored to client needs
- Lead cloud modernization efforts, including infrastructure migration and optimization
- Monitor system performance and proactively manage service levels
- Collaborate with security teams to ensure compliance and data protection
- Provide hands-on support for patching, troubleshooting, and system administration
- Facilitate workshops and proof-of-concept sessions to explore new solutions
- Partner with internal teams and clients to align technical delivery with strategic goals
- Stay ahead of emerging technologies and potential threat actors,
- Contribute to product enhancement through thoughful input and engagement.
Required Skills:
- Proven experience designing and implementing solutions on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
- Strong understanding of Autonomous Database, Fusion Middleware, and ADW
- Familiarity with data integration tools like ODI and GoldenGate and other third-party integrations
- Experience with Exadata and performance tuning testing and process refining.
- Strong understanding of information security fundamentals, including IAM, SIEM, and cyber measures across physical and data-link layers through networks and applications.
- Articulate and comfortable in engaging publically in in the implementation of cloud infrastructure.
- Able to travel to the nation's capital district from time-to-time, usually about one every 2-3 months for a weekend or so.
- Must be a national citizen or permanent resident to obtain the clearance necessary for access to sensitive government infrastructure.
