The Opportunity
Are you an experienced ERP consultant who enjoys solving complex business challenges, building trusted client relationships, and having the freedom to take ownership of your work?
We're partnering with a growing, boutique Acumatica consulting firm that is building a high-caliber team of professionals who value quality, accountability, and long-term client success. This is a full-time, fully remote opportunity exclusively for professionals based in the United States.
This is an opportunity to join at an exciting stage of growth, work directly with executive leadership, and play a meaningful role in shaping how the organization delivers ERP implementations, support, and ongoing improvements.
Unlike larger consulting environments where consultants may be focused on volume or narrowly defined responsibilities, this organization emphasizes thoughtful solutions, hands-on involvement, and lasting client relationships.
The ideal candidate brings strong Acumatica consulting experience and a deep understanding of construction operations. However, we're also interested in experienced professionals who bring significant construction ERP expertise or implementation leadership experience with another platform. For the right individual, there is flexibility to build additional expertise over time.
What You'll Be Doing
ERP Implementation & Client Engagement
- Lead and manage complex ERP implementation engagements, including requirements gathering, solution design, configuration, testing, deployment, and ongoing optimization.
- Serve as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact for assigned clients, developing a thorough understanding of their operations and business objectives.
- Evaluate business processes and translate operational requirements into practical ERP solutions.
- Collaborate with client stakeholders, including operational leaders, finance teams, and technical resources, to ensure successful outcomes.
- Take ownership of client engagements, managing priorities, resolving challenges, and maintaining clear communication throughout the process.
Functional Consulting & Technical Problem-Solving
- Configure, support, and optimize Acumatica ERP, with a particular emphasis on construction-related functionality.
- Diagnose and resolve complex functional and technical issues involving ERP modules, workflows, customizations, integrations, and data.
- Help clients improve reporting, internal controls, operational efficiency, and system utilization.
- Identify root causes of recurring issues and recommend sustainable solutions rather than temporary fixes.
- Support clients through complex or time-sensitive challenges with confidence, professionalism, and sound judgment.
Process Improvement & Practice Development
- Work directly with the CEO to improve implementation methodologies, client delivery strategies, and service quality.
- Contribute to the development of internal best practices, documentation, templates, and scalable consulting processes.
- Identify opportunities to improve client workflows, reporting, and overall ERP performance.
- Help establish the standards and processes that will support the organization's continued growth.
- Bring a collaborative, solutions-oriented mindset and a willingness to contribute beyond a narrowly defined job description.
What We're Looking For
Ideal Qualifications
- Senior-level experience implementing, configuring, or supporting Acumatica ERP, preferably within construction environments.
- Strong understanding of construction industry operations, business processes, and ERP requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex ERP implementations or client engagements from beginning to end.
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting ERP functionality, workflows, customizations, integrations, and data-related issues.
- Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and take ownership of client outcomes.
- Strong client-facing communication skills, including the ability to advise business leaders and explain complex solutions to technical and nontechnical audiences.
- A proactive approach to identifying problems, developing solutions, and improving processes.
- Comfort working in a growing consulting environment where flexibility, accountability, and initiative are valued.
Additional Experience That Would Be Valuable
- Experience with Acumatica Distribution, Manufacturing, or Field Service.
- Accounting or financial operations expertise.
- Experience developing or improving ERP implementation methodologies, internal processes, or consulting delivery standards.
- Background supporting construction organizations through ERP implementations, system optimization, or operational transformation.
Don't Check Every Box?
We're open to considering accomplished ERP professionals whose experience aligns strongly with certain aspects of the position, including:
- Construction industry specialists with extensive ERP knowledge who have not independently led full implementations.
- Experienced ERP implementation consultants who have worked with platforms other than Acumatica.
- Strong Acumatica implementation consultants who have limited direct construction industry experience.
For the right candidate, leadership is prepared to provide hands-on support and a period of development over approximately 3–6 months to help bridge experience gaps.
