A newly created role in a growing ERP environment

A growing organization is adding a newly created ERP Analyst position to strengthen its expanding Datacor environment. This is a hands-on technical and functional role for someone who knows Datacor, enjoys working directly with users and wants the variety of supporting day-to-day operations while also contributing to implementations, upgrades and system improvements.

As the organization grows, so does its Datacor footprint. You’ll support users across multiple operating groups, each with its own business processes, needs and challenges. You’ll also help bring additional operations and users onto Datacor, work alongside outside resources on implementations and take ownership of projects designed to improve functionality, usability and productivity.

This role sits within the Enterprise Applications team and offers exposure beyond the core ERP, including business intelligence and reporting, integrations, workflow automation and other enterprise applications.

What You’ll Be Doing

Datacor Support & Administration

• Provide functional and technical support to Datacor users across multiple areas of the business
• Troubleshoot system issues, diagnose problems, resolve errors and help maintain system stability
• Serve as a knowledgeable resource for users with questions about system functionality and business processes
• Manage and maintain areas of the ERP environment including user access, security and system configurations
• Work with users to understand issues, determine root causes and recommend practical solutions
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders and outside vendors when additional technical or functional expertise is needed
• Help users make effective use of existing Datacor functionality rather than simply resolving individual issues

Implementations, Upgrades & Testing

• Play an active role in bringing additional operations and users onto Datacor
• Participate in discovery and requirements gathering to understand business processes and system needs
• Support implementations and upgrades through planning, configuration, data migration, testing, rollout and user adoption
• Partner with Datacor Professional Services and internal stakeholders throughout implementation projects
• Help provide internal direction and coordination to keep projects progressing toward established timelines and budgets
• Participate in functional and user acceptance testing and help identify and resolve issues before and after rollout
• Support users through transitions to new functionality, processes and system capabilities

System Improvements & Projects

• Take ownership of ERP enhancement projects that improve usability, efficiency and the overall user experience
• Work through an existing pipeline of system improvements and business requests
• Evaluate opportunities to expand the functionality being used within Datacor
• Translate business needs into system requirements and practical solutions
• Help prioritize improvements based on business impact, user needs and available resources
• Participate in projects associated with new functionality introduced through system upgrades
• Look for ways to streamline processes and help users work more effectively within the ERP

Data, Reporting & Business Intelligence

• Analyze system and business data to identify trends, patterns, issues and opportunities for improvement
• Create, maintain and support reports, dashboards and other business intelligence needs
• Help ensure users have access to meaningful and accurate information for decision-making
• Work with stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and translate them into useful solutions
• Support the connection between ERP data and the organization’s broader reporting and business intelligence environment

User Training & Collaboration

• Provide training and ongoing support to end users
• Help users understand both how to use the system and how ERP processes support the broader business
• Communicate technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Build productive relationships with users across different functions and operating groups
• Work effectively with a variety of personalities, priorities and levels of technical knowledge
• Collaborate closely with other members of the Enterprise Applications team as well as business stakeholders and external vendors

What We’re Looking For

• At least 2 years of hands-on Datacor experience
• Experience providing functional and/or technical support for Datacor in a business environment
• Strong understanding of ERP systems and the business processes they support
• Experience troubleshooting ERP issues and working directly with end users
• Experience with ERP implementations, upgrades, testing and/or data migration
• Experience gathering requirements and translating business needs into system solutions
• Understanding of system administration including user access, security and configuration
• Experience with reporting, business intelligence and data analysis
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose issues and recommend solutions
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences
• Ability to work successfully with users, stakeholders and outside vendors
• Comfortable supporting multiple user groups with different business processes and system needs
• Ability to balance ongoing support needs with implementation work and longer-term projects
• Collaborative, team-oriented approach with the ability to take ownership of assigned work
