They specialize in advanced energy management and battery control systems, empowering businesses and communities to unite distributed energy resources for faster, more reliable, and affordable grid access.

The Role

Critical Loop is seeking a Security Operations Engineer to build secure, scalable systems at the intersection of infrastructure and code. You will own the security posture of distributed edge nodes, implementing key controls like network segmentation and secrets management across cloud and edge environments. This role is vital for translating complex compliance requirements into practical, automated implementations that protect our energy infrastructure.

Qualifications & Skills

Required

• 7+ years of professional experience, including 2+ years in Security Operations
• Experience with Linux systems (cloud, on-prem, and IoT) and infrastructure tools like Terraform or Ansible
• Ability to automate security and operations tasks using scripts
• Experience supporting security frameworks such as ISO 27001 or SOC 2
• Practical approach to security and willingness to learn tools like Python, AWS, and C++

Nice to Have

• Hands-on experience with AWS, Python, Terraform, and Ansible
• Knowledge of authentication and authorization standards (OAuth, SAML, OIDC)
• Proficiency in Python or another programming language
