ErthSearch is working with Puloli, an energy technology company that provides a continuous monitoring Solution-as-a-Service for methane emissions. Founded by tech and energy veterans, the company combines IoT technology with full-stack software development to replace outdated, reactive approaches with a real-time, always-on tracking service. Their purpose-built platform transforms raw field data into actionable, accurate quantification, helping energy operations move confidently from uncertainty to decisive emissions management. 

The Role 

We are seeking a Data Scientist-Software Engineer (kind of a hybrid) who can dive into massive volumes of raw sensor data to uncover trends and anomalies that traditional physics models miss. In this role, you will ensure data processing integrity so that analytical outputs precisely match user expectations. Acting as a critical bridge, you will translate the "recipes" of Atmospheric Scientists into clean, reviewable code that aligns with internal engineering standards before it is hardened by the core software team. 

Qualifications & Skills

Required

• Experience analyzing large-scale industrial, telemetry, or environmental datasets
• Skilled in designing validation experiments and verifying data accuracy
• Strong programming proficiency in Python or C
• Expertise in data science and visualization libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib, and Seaborn
• Ability to create clear, impactful visualizations that simplify complex data trends

Nice to have:

• Experience with environmental, meteorological, or emissions monitoring data
• Familiarity with automated data pipelines and dashboard tools like Grafana or Tableau
• Background in mathematical modeling and statistical validation for hardware or IoT sensor data
