About Our Client

ErthSearch is working with PingThings, an innovative energy technology company that builds PredictiveGrid, a high-frequency, fleet-scale time-series intelligence platform. Backed by the U.S. Department of Energy and venture capital, they process petabytes of sensor data with nanosecond precision for major transmission utilities, ISOs, and research institutions across North America.

The Role

As a Go Lang Engineer, you will work across the full backend of the PredictiveGrid platform, including the time-series storage engine, streaming pipelines, infrastructure, and public APIs. We are hiring at all experience levels (Junior to Senior) and will scope the role to your track record, backing you with the direct mentorship to grow your skillset. Operating in a fully remote environment, you will solve extreme performance problems at a millions-of-points-per-second scale while integrating AI into your everyday engineering workflow.

Qualifications & Skills

Required:

  • Strong backend engineering experience with Go or excellent programming fundamentals and the ability to learn quickly.
  • Solid understanding of distributed systems, including concurrency, storage, and networking.
  • Committed to writing clean, reliable code and operating production-grade services.
  • Interested in solving complex challenges across the full platform stack, from infrastructure to APIs.
  • Familiar with or willing to develop expertise in Kubernetes, containerized environments, and Terraform.

Nice to have:

  • Experience with time-series databases, streaming systems, and high-volume event processing.
  • Strong background in performance optimization and storage-engine technologies.
  • Familiarity with or hands-on experience in Rust development.
  • Exposure to energy, utilities, industrial automation, or other sensor-intensive industries.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary and equity package.
  • Opportunity to work on a platform that directly impacts the stability and future of the energy grid.
  • Remote-flexible culture with a team of deeply technical peers.

Note

[visa situation] This role requires US-Working Rights - the company is unable to sponsor visa transfers.
