About Our Client

Roosevelt Talent is working with Helix Earth, an award-winning clean tech startup spun out of Rice University and NASA that is transforming how commercial buildings handle humidity. Their core technology dramatically cuts air conditioning energy use and improves indoor air quality, directly addressing a sector on track to account for 10% of global CO2 emissions by 2050. 

The Role 

We are seeking a Head of Product to join our team onsite in Houston, TX, and own the product-management system end-to-end for our commercial HVAC product line. This hands-on leadership position serves as the connective tissue between engineering, sales, and operations to translate market needs into system requirements. Core duties include driving voice-of-customer programs, product roadmap strategy, go-to-market and channel economics, pricing, packaging, and channel sales enablement. 

Qualifications & Skills

Required

• 8+ years of experience in product management or product-line leadership at a commercial HVAC OEM, controls company, airside equipment manufacturer, or adjacent building-products business.  
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or a related field.  
• Proven track record of owning a product line, portfolio, or major product family from market requirements through launch and adoption.  
• Deep understanding of physical-product commercialization and the full HVAC value chain, working directly with reps, distributors, contractors, specifiers, installers, and end users.  
• Willingness and ability to work full-time onsite in Houston, TX. 

Nice to have:

• Specific technical experience with RTUs, DOAS, dehumidification, ventilation, controls, heat pumps, or other contractor-installed equipment.  
• Working knowledge of relevant building codes and standards (such as ASHRAE 62.1, ASHRAE 90.1, Title 24, IECC) and refrigerant/EPA compliance requirements.  
• Prior startups or early-stage companies experience building processes and systems from scratch.  
• Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree or equivalent commercial training.
