About Our Client

ErthSearch is working with Puloli, an energy technology company that provides a continuous monitoring Solution-as-a-Service for methane emissions. Founded by tech and energy veterans, the company combines IoT technology with full-stack software development to replace outdated, reactive approaches with a real-time, always-on tracking service. Their purpose-built platform transforms raw field data into actionable, accurate quantification, helping energy operations move confidently from uncertainty to decisive emissions management.

The Role

We are seeking an Atmospheric Scientist or Research Engineer who will research and apply modeling methods for atmospheric transport and dispersion to recreate complex emission events. In this role, you will translate textbook scientific formulas into code frameworks ("recipes") that can be automated by our software team. Additionally, you will design and run controlled experiments with our Texas field team to validate your models against physical reality, transforming raw sensor data into high-value metrics for subscribers.

Qualifications & Skills

Required

  • Experience modeling atmospheric or dispersion systems, including weather and wind data
  • Ability to independently code scientific formulas and algorithms
  • Strong knowledge of Atmospheric Transport and Dispersion (ATD) and tools like AERMET or AERMOD
  • 3+ years of professional or post-academic experience
  • Motivated to apply scientific models to real-world commercial products in fast-paced environments

Nice to have:

  • Experience with methane emissions, gas dispersion, or greenhouse gas modeling
  • Background in optimizing scientific scripts for scalable or cloud-based environments
  • Familiarity with integrating meteorological, satellite, or sensor telemetry data into dispersion models

Benefits

  • Competitive Salary
  • Company ownership stake via an included equity component.
  • High-impact opportunity focused closely on compelling technical scale and core mission.

Note

[visa situation] This role requires US-Working Rights - the company is unable to sponsor visa transfers.
