About Our Client

Roosevelt Talent is working with Puloli, an energy technology company that provides a continuous monitoring Solution-as-a-Service for methane emissions. Founded by tech and energy veterans, the company combines IoT technology with full-stack software development to replace outdated, reactive approaches with a real-time, always-on tracking service. Their purpose-built platform transforms raw field data into actionable, accurate quantification, helping energy operations move confidently from uncertainty to decisive emissions management. 

The Role 

We are seeking a Data Scientist to serve as a key contributor across an end-to-end system spanning remote sensing, wireless networking, cloud computing, and algorithm processing for methane emission estimation. Working in-person in San Francisco, CA, the role involves analyzing field measurement trends, proposing data quality improvements, and designing data processing algorithms alongside atmospheric scientists and cloud developers. Additionally, the candidate will build and code methods for extrapolating sub-set measurements to broader groups while running corresponding uncertainty analyses.  

Qualifications & Skills

Required

• Master's degree or higher in a related quantitative field with a minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience.
• Direct experience working with datasets related to emissions, air quality, or atmospheric transport and dispersion processes.
• Deep knowledge of statistical data science methods, performance evaluation, and error/uncertainty propagation.
• Expertise in scientific Python coding for statistical data analysis and data processing, along with familiarity with software development tools.
• Startup mindset, strong initiative, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice to have:

• Hands-on experience analyzing both controlled testing data and in situ field measurements.
• Experience designing, configuring, and optimizing point-sensor monitoring networks.
• Track record of coordinating cross-functional development with cloud software developers and field personnel.
