ErthSearch is working with Ping Things, a high-growth SaaS company revolutionizing how electric utilities operate. Since 2014, they have combined data science, AI, and cloud technology to help utilities improve efficiency, reliability, and customer satisfaction. While they have a strong reputation and an established book of business, Ping Things maintains a lean, "no babysitting" ownership culture typical of a high-impact startup.


The Role


As a Sales Director, you will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies to sell Ping Things’ data-oriented SaaS products to major electric utilities. This is a remote, results-oriented role where you will build relationships with key decision-makers and articulate the value of AI and cloud technologies in a utility context. You will own the full sales cycle, contributing to the growth of a cutting-edge energy technology platform while working within a dynamic and supportive team.


Qualifications & Skills

Required Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of direct experience selling data-oriented SaaS products specifically to electric utilities (non-negotiable).
  • A strong, high-level understanding of the electric utility industry, its evolving needs, and data/AI/cloud technologies.
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills with the ability to effectively articulate complex value propositions.
  • Must be based in the U.S. and able to work without visa sponsorship.
  • A highly driven, intelligent, and results-oriented professional with a strong independent work ethic.


Nice-to-Have

  • An engineering degree or technical background is a significant plus.
  • Prior experience successfully working in a fully remote environment.
  • Experience contributing to the ongoing development of sales processes and organizational best practices.
