Role

We are looking for a Project Engineer to join the existing civil works team based on the project in the regional Nth Island, around 4 hours drive from Auckland. Experience in major projects civil construction, including retaining walls and earthworks/roadworks is essential. 

You'll be liaising with project management staff, site, suppliers and subcontractors to plan and execute work, ensuring your section of works are completed cost-effectively and on time.


The requirements :

  • 5+ years working in heavy civil construction
  • Demonstrated experience in heavy civil infrastructure - with retaining walls & earthworks being strongly desired
  • Strong interpersonal skills - with a demonstrable ability to lead a small team
  • Excellent time management & planning skill - ensuring your team is equipped to plan and execute their work efficiently
  • A strong commercial acumen and demonstrable ability in forecasting
  • A recognised tertiary qualification in engineering and/or construction
  • A demonstrable commitment to Health & Safety ensuring everyone goes home safe every day
