We are seeking a Senior Estimator to join our client's Auckland team, in a highly flexible role that can be a mix of office and work from home. Pricing work predominately in the waters sector, the projects will be from $5m up to $60m+

This is a senior role with visibility and influence, where you’ll lead the preparation of winning tenders across civil and water infrastructure. You’ll not only develop high-quality estimates, but also shape strategies, identify value opportunities and engage directly with clients and stakeholders.

You’ll work on meaningful projects that matter to local communities and be part of a collaborative team that values input and initiative, while giving you the space to take ownership of your bids from start to finish.

Supported by the wider business, you'll have good resources and a professional team to draw on to assist with your work.

Key responsibilities include

• Leading the preparation of detailed estimates, methodologies and schedules.
• Driving tender strategies and identifying value engineering opportunities.
• Coordinating subcontractor and supplier engagement.
• Preparing and presenting tender submissions for internal and client review.
• Building strong relationships with clients, consultants and industry partners.

What You’ll Bring to the Team

• A degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering
• Extensive estimating experience in civil and/or water infrastructure.
• Proven ability to lead tenders from concept through to submission.
• Strong commercial and contractual knowledge, with a strategic mindset.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the confidence to engage at senior levels.
• Familiarity with NZ3910 contract specifications and estimating software.

Very few roles would have this mix of autonomy with corporate support. Salary is up to $240k + Kiwisaver and full use vehicle.
