We have a great opportunity for a geotechnical engineer or engineering geologist to join a busy team on the West Coast.

Our client has a wealth of knowledge and experience throughout their South Island offices, with civil, geotechnical, and structural engineering, land surveying, planning and contaminated land teams.

The type of work is varied ranging from residential and commercial development to large scale roading and infrastructure projects. This position will be a balance of office and field work and will involve working with engineering teams as well as a range of clients and contractors.

The ideal applicant has the following:

• a degree qualification in geotechnical engineering or post graduate qualification in engineering geology (or similar)
• a minimum of three years relevant New Zealand experience.
• a team player
• strong written and verbal communication skills, with good attention to detail
• experience in
• site investigations and undertaking soil sampling, testing and analysis
• slope stability analysis, liquefaction studies, retaining walls, foundations, and pile design
• construction monitoring, supervision, and contractor liaison.
