Field Service Engineer – Print Finishing, Packaging & Automation

Location: UK Wide / Field Based (Candidates can be based anywhere in the UK)

Our client is an industry leader that serves as an exclusive distributor and engineering service provider for leading special-purpose machinery manufacturers from continental Europe and the Far East.

The Role

To support their continued expansion, we are looking for a Field Service Engineer to support cutting-edge electromechanical equipment within the packaging and print finishing sectors. This is an opportunity to work with some of the most advanced machinery in Europe, backed by manufacturer-specific training to ensure your technical skills remain sharp.

You will take ownership of the full equipment lifecycle, with responsibilities including:

• Supervising the off-loading, positioning, and final commissioning of new equipment
• Performing mechanical fault-finding and precision repairs on industrial systems.
• Delivering planned service schedules, emergency repairs, and software upgrades.
• Providing hands-on operational training to ensure clients maximise machine performance.

About You

We are seeking a Field Service Engineer with a background in mechanical repair gained within the printing or packaging industry on special-purpose machinery.

• Experience: Proven field service experience working on electromechanical machines.
• Strong mechanical fault-finding and repair skills
• Must hold a full UK Driving Licence.
• Due to the nature of the industry and site locations, the role requires a high degree of mobility, including UK-wide travel and regular overnight stays.
