Field Service Engineer – Devon / Cornwall

The Company

Our client is one of the country's leading technology providers, supplying EPOS (till) systems, mobile apps for ordering and web apps for engaging with consumers through loyalty programmes or reservations.


The Job

As a Field Service Engineer, you will install, maintain, and troubleshoot IT network system connectivity and hardware issues at sites throughout Devon and Cornwall


Duties include:

·        Site Surveys

·        Installation, testing and configuration of EPOS systems, including structured cable testing

·        Planned maintenance

·        Diagnosing faults and swapping out units

·        Fault-finding on computer WIFI networks

·        Reimaging PCs, data copies and system updates


About You

As a Field Service Engineer, you should have a good mix of the following skills and experience.

·        Field-based customer service engineering experience

·        Knowledge of computer hardware (PCs, IP Networks and WIFI)

·        Manage own diary and workload

·        EPOS knowledge desirable / not essential as full product training given

·        Full Driving Licence

Hours

Monday to Friday, 9 am – 5 pm

On-Call One Week in Three: Standby Hours: Mon – Fri 5pm-9pm, Sat & Sun 9am – 9pm


Benefits

£31396 (£28620 + £2776 standby allowance) estimated earnings: £35000 including overtime when on call out + £250 quarterly performance bonus. Basic salary rises from £28620 to £30000 after 12 months service
