We are seeking a Junior Accountant / ACCA Trainee to join the Accounting team in Nicosia. This role is ideal for a motivated early-career professional looking to gain hands-on accounting experience while working towards ACCA qualification within a structured and supportive firm.



Responsibilities

  • Prepare asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analysing accounting information
  • Manage day-to-day accounting transactions, including supplier and bank reconciliations
  • Assist with payroll-related matters
  • Prepare and submit VAT and VIES returns
  • Issue invoices and manage invoicing processes
  • Prepare payment instructions and process online payments
  • Maintain and update company ledgers
  • Handle accruals and prepayments on issued and received invoices
  • Maintain subsidiary and general ledgers, including trial balances and reconciliations
  • Communicate daily with clients to collect required financial information
  • Assist in preparing and monitoring budgets
  • Prepare cash flow statements and management accounts
  • Cooperate with audit and taxation departments to meet client financial reporting and tax requirements
  • Perform other accounting-related duties as required



Requirements

  • University degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Previous accounting experience will be considered an advantage
  • Excellent command of Greek and English, both written and spoken (additional languages are an advantage)
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage deadlines
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Self-motivated, energetic, and able to work under pressure
