Reporting to the B2B Division Finance Director, this role will be primarily responsible for the financial accounting and financial reporting of two regulated companies (and into broader Group entities)—projects to improve system utilisation and business intelligence utilisation of an opportunity. 


Responsibilities:

  • Daily Revenue and client management/KPI reporting
  • Maintenance and control of the general ledger for Australia and Singapore regulated entities
  • Month-end accounting procedures including review of P+L and Balance Sheet reconciliation
  • Month-end reporting including and understanding variances
  • Preparation and presentation of entity monthly management accounts
  • Preparation of regional (APAC) consolidated management accounts and financial reports for entity governance meetings
  • Intercompany reconciliations
  • Preparation of SG and AU statutory accounts and lead external audit
  • Support the budget process
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns
  • Assist with SG and AU corporation tax computations
  • Finance cover for other personnel in the regional team

There will be various projects to which the position can contribute, including:

  • Automation of daily KPI reports
  • Integration with other Group systems
  • Improvements to current processes


Requirements:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge of IFRS
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy.
  • Excellent leadership skills, with a track record of building and developing finance teams is essential.
  • Drive and enthusiasm - a genuine desire to assist the business
  • Experience with general ledger and subsidiary ledger processing and related controls
  • A working knowledge of SAP general ledger system
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • A positive attitude and good teamwork skills
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
  • Good at relationship-building and influencing
  • Conscientious with attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritise prioritise to deliver output
  • Fluency in Chinese
  • Ability to identify and implement process improvements and a commitment to improve the effectiveness of process
  • Experience in the CFD/ foreign exchange industry
  • Experience with control implementation and/or system change
  • Knowledge of various accounting standards
