Contract: Full-time, Permanent

Work-mode: On-site

Working Hours: Monday to Friday from 08.00 to 17.00 hours with 1 hr for lunch. After office hours will be required.

Location: Limassol, Cyprus

Salary: Up to €2,700 gross per month (negotiable - depending on experience and qualifications)


Our client is an offshore company that began in Limassol, Cyprus, over forty years ago, in 1980. The family-run cargo ship-owning company soon became a specialist in managing and operating towage and salvage vessels. With growing expertise, they entered the nascent Eastern Mediterranean’s offshore Oil & Gas sector. They developed strong working relationships with oil majors worldwide, providing well-equipped vessels and skilled crew for effective oil rig support, survey, dive and ROV operations. Along the way, they developed a network of dedicated ancillary offshore and onshore services, which makes them one of the sector’s only horizontally integrated operators.


Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1st and 2nd line support to vessels, crew, clients and multisite offices.
  • Resolve tickets based on the defined priority level and within the specified timeframe.
  • Perform remote troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques.
  • Determine the best solutions based on the issue and details provided.
  • Direct unresolved issues to the next level of support.
  • Record events and works performed to resolve issues within the system.
  • Identify and suggest improvements to procedures.
  • Manage and maintain the IT Asset Register with accurate inventory and record all hardware and software purchased and allocated.
  • Ensure IT familiarisation is conducted with new employees.
  • Install, configure and troubleshoot new and existing hardware, operating systems and software applications on laptops, printers, mobiles, tablets, NAS and CCTV.
  • Perform user account setup on workstations and mobile devices.
  • Sustain network integrity, server deployment, and security.
  • Evaluate risk and develop network recovery and backup processes.
  • Educate colleagues about security software and best practices for information security.
  • Ensure activities are within the limits of applicable laws, codes and regulations.
  • Protect systems by defining access privileges, control structures, and resources
  • Maximise performance by troubleshooting problems and outages and scheduling upgrades.
  • Lead by example.
  • Monitor areas of responsibility and communicate any potential issues.
  • Any other reasonable duties as defined by the role and management.

 

Requirements:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of four years of experience in a similar role.
  • Knowledge of Windows 10, Active Directory (DHCP, DNS, user accounts), Antivirus systems, MS Office 365/Outlook, OneDrive and Teams.
  • Ability to repair computers/laptops and replace or clone disks would be considered an advantage.
  • Experience with computer networks, network administration and installation.
  • Clean Criminal Record.
  • Proficient in English.
  • Ability to handle confidential information sensitively and tactfully.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills – planning, prioritising and organising.
  • Familiar with Android and iOS.
  • Flexible in work times. Will be required to work outside of normal office hours and may be required to travel overseas as operational requirements demand.
