Location: Cyprus (on-site)

Salary: Up to €30,000 gross per annum (this is negotiable, depending on experience - 13 salaries)

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to manage a diverse portfolio of clients across multiple industries. This role requires strong technical accounting expertise, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.


The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering accurate financial reporting, ensuring compliance with accounting and tax regulations, and supporting external audit processes as required. 


Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and record asset, liability, revenue, and expense entries by compiling and analysing financial data
  • Prepare balance sheets, profit & loss statements, and other financial reports as required
  • Complete and maintain accounting files for external audits, including providing requested information to auditors
  • Compute taxes owed and prepare tax returns in line with statutory requirements
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory obligations, including IRD deadlines and VAT/VIES submissions
  • Monitor and report to management on the progress of client assignments and pending work
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of financial and client information
  • Stay up to date with accounting standards and best practices through continuous professional development



Requirements

  • University degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in an accounting role, ideally across multiple industries
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS standards
  • Advanced accounting and bookkeeping skills
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
  • LCCI certificate or similar qualification will be considered an advantage
  • Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality
