Our client is a specialist investment manager who structures and manages real estate, credit, and private equity investments in London, Britain. The organisation maintains fully fledged offices in London, Dubai, and Cyprus, with more than 250 professionals structuring and managing investments in the UK and Europe for the benefit of their clients.
The successful candidate will report to the Legal Director and join a strong team of professionals with legal, finance, and banking backgrounds. The team works intensely with external lawyers in the UK and Cyprus to support the firm’s lending, underwriting, funding, suppliers, and litigation processes.
Responsibilities:
- Legal, due diligence of borrowers and UK properties at all stages
- Litigation management of loan recoveries and default loan monitoring
- First point of contact with UK Solicitors and full correspondence management
- Liaison with the external advisor of the primary fund.
- Reviewer of all legal documentation and identification and mitigation of legal risks
- Member of both lower and upper-level credit committees
- Involvement in legal appointments, fee management and legal panel selection
- Remain updated with relevant regulations and legislation to the London Credit business and provide memos to the team
Requirements:
- More than five years of PQE.
- Experience in advising on commercial contracts with solid contract drafting and analytical skills.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Well-organized and able to work autonomously and as part of a team, as required.
- Ability to use initiative and a willingness to embrace innovation and continuous improvement.
- A committed and motivated individual, ambitious and eager to learn and develop new skills.
- Strong commercial awareness, attention to detail and professionalism.
- Any related Credit financing experience will be deemed an advantage.
- Legal Practice Course (LPC) will be considered an advantage.
