The Business Manager is responsible for the operational, commercial, and administrative performance of all clinics. This senior leadership role ensures consistent service standards, regulatory compliance, financial performance, and an outstanding client experience across all locations.
Leading Clinic Managers and Front-of-House teams, the Business Manager drives operational excellence, revenue growth, people performance, and strategic initiatives while safeguarding brand values and clinical standards.
Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day operations across all clinics to ensure efficiency, consistency, and high service standards
- Implement, maintain, and enforce SOPs across clinical and non-clinical operations
- Ensure effective appointment scheduling, stock control, and clinic presentation standards
- Oversee clinic maintenance and liaise with Operations to ensure timely repairs and upkeep
- Manage clinic systems including CRM, booking platforms, and POS software
- Set, manage, and monitor monthly and quarterly revenue targets per clinic
- Analyse financial reports and dashboards to identify trends, risks, and growth opportunities
- Monitor KPIs including utilisation rates, average order value, productivity, and gross margin
- Control operational costs while driving efficiency and profitability
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities
- Lead, coach, and support Clinic Managers and Front-of-House teams
- Support recruitment of therapists, practitioners, and clinic leadership staff
- Conduct performance reviews and implement training, development, and retention strategies
- Ensure effective staffing levels, rota planning, and holiday approvals
- Build and sustain a high-performance culture aligned with brand values
- Ensure compliance with HCPC and all relevant regulatory requirements
- Maintain accurate, confidential, and compliant patient records
- Ensure adherence to health & safety, infection control, GDPR, and safeguarding standards
- Conduct regular audits to uphold quality, compliance, and risk management
- Collaborate with marketing to deliver campaigns, promotions, and local initiatives
- Optimise client conversion from enquiry to consultation to treatment
- Support corporate client opportunities and VIP experiences
- Manage client feedback, online reviews, and brand reputation
- Resolve escalated client complaints professionally and consistently
- Support the rollout of new clinics, services, and technologies
- Identify and deliver operational and commercial improvement opportunities
- Drive continuous improvement through data-led decision-making
- Lead implementation of performance-enhancing systems and tools
Requirements
- Proven senior operational or business management experience in multi-site environments
- Strong commercial acumen with experience managing revenue targets and KPIs
- Demonstrated people leadership and team development capability
- Experience in healthcare, beauty, wellness, or regulated service environments preferred
- Strong understanding of compliance, governance, and health & safety standards
- Confident communicator with the ability to influence at all levels
- Highly organised, data-driven, and solutions-focused
- Willingness to travel regularly between clinic locations
