Location: Central London, United Kingdom

Salary: Up to £170,000 gross per annum (depending on experience) + bonus

We are seeking an experienced Corporate & Commercial Partner to lead and grow the firm’s corporate practice. The successful candidate will have proven experience at Partner level within a mid-tier or boutique law firm and will be comfortable working directly with clients while nurturing long-term commercial relationships.


You will work on a broad range of transactional and advisory matters, with full autonomy to shape the corporate offering and play a key role in the firm’s continued growth. The firm embraces flexibility, collaboration, and a focus on output rather than rigid structure - ideal for someone who excels in a relaxed, boutique setting.


Responsibilities

You will advise on a wide range of corporate and commercial matters, including:

  • Joint ventures, shareholder agreements, and bespoke articles of association
  • Equity and debt investment transactions (£1m–£5m typical, up to £16m+)
  • M&A transactions, primarily for owner-managed businesses (£1m–£5m typical, up to £18m+)
  • Corporate restructuring for sale, investment, or group reorganisation
  • Institutional finance transactions (£3m–£5m) and private/B2B lending matters (£500k–£1m)
  • Drafting and negotiating a variety of commercial contracts, including:
  • Terms & conditions
  • Framework agreements
  • SaaS and software licensing agreements
  • Consultancy agreements, manufacturing and distribution agreements
  • Agency and commission agreements
  • High-level data protection and commercial settlements
  • Develop and grow the corporate & commercial practice area
  • Lead client relationships and drive business development initiatives
  • Collaborate closely with colleagues in employment, commercial, and disputes
  • Provide guidance and mentoring to junior lawyers where required
  • Work seamlessly with the firm’s partner accountancy practice to deliver joined-up client solutions


Requirements

  • UK-qualified Solicitor with a valid Practising Certificate
  • Proven experience at Partner level within a mid-tier, boutique, or specialist commercial firm
  • Strong technical background in corporate and commercial law
  • Demonstrated experience advising on M&A, JV, investment, restructuring, and commercial matters
  • Entrepreneurial outlook with strong relationship-building skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable operating with autonomy in a boutique, non-corporate environment
  • Commercially minded with an interest in firm growth and client development
