Salary: Up to £45,000 gross per annum plus generous commission and bonuses (commission is based on meetings booked and on deals completed - bonus is based on KPIs met)

We are looking for a confident and driven Business Development Manager with a passion for B2B sales and the initiative to take ownership of the full sales cycle. This is a hands-on role that blends outbound sales, client engagement, and commercial strategy. You will be responsible for generating leads, qualifying opportunities, and closing deals—while helping to shape and scale Procurato’s sales function. For the right candidate, this role offers the opportunity to build and lead their own sales team in the future as the company continues its growth trajectory.
Responsibilities
- Lead outbound sales activities, including cold calling, cold emailing, and targeted prospecting to engage procurement and insurance claims professionals
- Develop personalised outreach strategies to identify and qualify high-value prospects
- Manage the entire sales cycle from initial contact through to closing, including discovery calls, product/service demonstrations, proposal development, and contract negotiation
- Understand client pain points and tailor solutions accordingly, using a consultative and strategic approach
- Maintain accurate records of all sales activities, pipeline status, and client interactions within the CRM system
- Meet and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets
- Provide ongoing feedback to the leadership team on client needs, market trends, and competitive positioning
- Build long-term relationships with clients and nurture accounts for upselling and retention
- Support the development of future commercial strategies and contribute to team growth
Requirements
- 3–5 years of B2B sales experience with a consistent track record of achieving or surpassing sales targets
- Experience in procurement or in selling to procurement or insurance claims teams is highly desirable
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Comfortable delivering demos and articulating complex solutions clearly and confidently
- Proficient with CRM systems (experience with Pipedrive is a plus)
- Strategic thinker with a consultative sales mindset
- Self-driven, proactive, and capable of working independently as well as collaboratively
- Willingness to learn new tools, industries, and methodologies
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken
- Eligible to work in the UK and commute to the London office 3 days per week
