Responsibilities
- Lead and manage complex business and commercial litigation matters, including declaratory judgment actions, breach of contract, tortious interference, and related disputes
- Develop case strategies, oversee motion practice, and prepare trial materials
- Draft, review, and argue pleadings, motions, and briefs in state and federal courts
- Conduct in-depth legal research and ensure high-quality written advocacy
- Serve as a trusted advisor to clients on complex and high-stakes litigation matters
- Communicate case developments, risks, and strategic recommendations clearly and effectively
- Partner with colleagues and trial teams to deliver exceptional client service
- Mentor junior attorneys and contribute to the firm’s knowledge-sharing and best practices
- Ensure all litigation activities align with ethical standards and procedural requirements
- Proactively identify potential legal risks and advise clients accordingly
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
- Active Texas Bar License (required)
- Minimum 7 years of experience in litigation, ideally focused on business or commercial disputes
- Demonstrated success handling declaratory judgment actions and complex civil litigation
- Exceptional research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
- Strong strategic thinker with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to manage cases independently while collaborating within a team
- Experience in labor and employment law will be considered an advantage
