We are seeking a proactive and professional Legal Secretary to join the firm’s Private Client department, supporting solicitors and fee earners in the Wills, Trusts & Probate team. The successful candidate will provide high-quality administrative and client support, helping the team deliver an exceptional service to individuals and families during sensitive and important life events.


Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative and secretarial support to solicitors and fee earners in the Wills, Trusts & Probate department
  • Prepare and format legal documents, correspondence, and forms with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Liaise with clients via phone, email, and in-person meetings, maintaining a professional and empathetic approach
  • Manage client files, schedule appointments, and ensure efficient office operations
  • Support fee earners in progressing matters efficiently and maintaining excellent client service standards
  • Uphold strict confidentiality and handle sensitive information with integrity
  • Assist with billing, document management, and other general office duties as required


Requirements

  • Previous experience working as a Legal Secretary or Legal Administrator (experience in Private Client/Wills & Probate law preferred)
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills, with excellent attention to detail
  • Professional and empathetic communication style when dealing with clients
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a busy environment while maintaining accuracy
  • High level of discretion and trustworthiness in handling confidential information
  • Competent in using Microsoft Office and legal case management systems
  • A proactive and positive attitude, with a genuine desire to provide outstanding client service
