Salary: Up to £46,000 gross per annum, depending on experience and qualifications


We are working in partnership to fill this role with another recruitment agency based in the UK.


Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Auditor to lead and execute audit engagements for a diverse range of clients. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a qualified professional to advance their career in auditing by taking on more responsibility and driving quality and efficiency in audit processes.


Responsibilities

• Lead the planning and execution of audit assignments, ensuring compliance with professional standards and regulations.

• Guide and support junior auditors, reviewing their work and providing constructive feedback to aid their professional development.

• Identify key risks during audits and ensure adequate controls are in place to address those risks.

• Apply your knowledge of accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP) and audit methodologies to deliver high-quality audit reports.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as a point of contact for audit-related inquiries and updates.

• Prepare detailed audit reports, presenting findings and recommendations to clients and senior management.

• Contribute to the development of audit processes and methodologies to improve efficiency and effectiveness.


Requirements

• ACCA, ACA, or equivalent professional qualification.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in external auditing, preferably within a professional services firm.

• Strong understanding of accounting principles, auditing standards, and regulatory requirements.

• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities to liaise effectively with clients and team members.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.

• Proven ability to supervise, mentor, and develop junior staff.

• Ability to manage multiple audit engagements and meet deadlines without compromising quality.
