Location: Nicosia, Cyprus

Salary: Fully negotiable, depending on experience and qualifications

Working Hours: Monday to Thursday 8am to 5:30pm, Friday from 8am to 2pm


Our client is a well-established, family-run professional services firm with over 35 years of presence in the Cyprus market. The firm employs around 15 professionals and continues to grow steadily, providing high-quality audit, accounting, tax, advisory, and financial reporting services to both local and international clients.


The firm is a member of ICPAC, is authorised by ACCA (and has been awarded Platinum Employer status), and is part of an international association of independent firms that operates under the highest ethical and professional standards. A strong emphasis is placed on teamwork, long-term client relationships, and a personal, hands-on approach.


The Audit Assistant Manager will play a key role in managing audit engagements and supporting both clients and internal teams. This position involves hands-on audit work, client interaction, team coordination, and close collaboration with Audit Managers to ensure high-quality service delivery across multiple engagements.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform audit engagements for local and international clients
  • Plan, execute, and complete audits in accordance with IFRSs and ISAs
  • Prepare financial statements and related audit documentation
  • Coordinate planning phases of audit engagements
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with clients
  • Manage multiple audit assignments and meet strict deadlines
  • Generate budgets and monitor audit progress
  • Report regularly to the Audit Manager on engagement status and client matters
  • Communicate with clients via email and telephone
  • Assist and support junior team members where required
  • Ensure management instructions and firm policies are followed at all times
  • Prepare clients’ tax returns and tax computations
  • Contribute to the overall efficiency and quality of the audit department


Requirements

  • University degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Newly qualified or partly qualified accountant (ACCA/ACA)
  • 3–4 years of experience within an audit firm
  • Knowledge of the financial services industry will be considered an advantage
  • Experience using CaseWare
  • Excellent command of Greek and English (verbal and written)
  • Strong organisational, communication, and time-management skills
  • Ability to manage priorities and multiple tasks effectively
  • Strong attention to detail and methodical approach
  • Confident personality with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues
  • Ability to mentor and support junior staff
  • High level of professionalism, responsibility, and team spirit
