Salary: £26,000 – £38,000 per annum (depending on experience) + excellent benefits package

This role sits within the firm’s Residential Property department, supporting one of the region’s most reputable Conveyancing Teams. The successful candidate will assist in managing a wide range of residential property transactions, including freehold and leasehold sales and purchases, remortgages, transfer of equity, shared ownership, landlord purchases, and new build matters.


Responsibilities

  • Liaise with clients, banks, building societies, estate agents, and other stakeholders to facilitate transactions
  • Prepare, draft, and manage key conveyancing documents including Contracts for Sale, SDLT forms, completion documentation, and invoices
  • Handle registrations, post-completion tasks, and file opening using the firm’s case management system
  • Take initial client instructions and issue quotes
  • Draft correspondence and reports to clients, including mortgage offer reports and search reports
  • Review and check searches, raise enquiries, and assist in the day-to-day running of files through to exchange and completion
  • Maintain accurate and organised file records in accordance with the firm’s compliance and quality standards


Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Conveyancing Assistant within a busy residential property department is essential
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a client-focused approach
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously
  • Highly organised with the ability to meet deadlines and maintain accuracy under pressure
  • Strong IT skills, with experience using legal case management systems, preferred
  • Team-oriented, proactive, and committed to providing outstanding client service
