The Senior DevOps Engineer will play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining scalable, secure, and highly available infrastructure. This is a hands-on senior position, ideal for an experienced DevOps professional who enjoys ownership, automation, and continuous improvement.
Working closely with Development and QA teams, you will lead the evolution of CI/CD pipelines, container orchestration, and infrastructure reliability while contributing to architectural decisions and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and optimise CI/CD pipelines to support rapid and reliable software delivery
- Automate build, test, and deployment workflows across development, staging, and production environments
- Deploy, manage, and scale containerised applications using Kubernetes
- Maintain and improve deployment strategies, including blue-green, rolling updates, and canary releases
- Architect, manage, and support cloud-based and on-premise infrastructure
- Monitor system performance, availability, and security; lead incident response and resolution
- Collaborate closely with development teams to improve deployment reliability and developer experience
- Implement DevOps security best practices across pipelines and infrastructure
- Evaluate, recommend, and introduce new tools, technologies, and DevOps practices
- Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation for infrastructure, pipelines, and operational procedures
Requirements
- Minimum 3+ years’ experience in a DevOps or similar role
- Strong hands-on experience with CI/CD tools and pipeline design
- Advanced knowledge of containerisation and orchestration, particularly Kubernetes
- Strong understanding of cloud and private cloud environments
- Proficiency in Linux/Unix-based systems
- Solid experience with infrastructure automation and monitoring
- Strong understanding of networking, security principles, and system reliability
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to lead and take ownership
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
