Contract: Full-time, Permanent

Work-mode: On-site in Nicosia, Cyprus (hybrid working can be considered)

Location: Nicosia, Cyprus

Salary: Fully negotiable, depending on experience and qualifications

Working Hours: Monday to Thursday 8am to 5:30pm, Friday from 8am to 2pm


Our client is a well-established, family-run professional services firm with over 35 years of presence in the Cyprus market. The firm employs around 15 professionals and continues to grow steadily, providing high-quality audit, accounting, tax, advisory, and financial reporting services to both local and international clients.


The firm is a member of ICPAC, is authorised by ACCA (and has been awarded Platinum Employer status), and is part of an international association of independent firms that operates under the highest ethical and professional standards. A strong emphasis is placed on teamwork, long-term client relationships, and a personal, hands-on approach.


The Senior Auditor will play a key role in delivering high-quality audit services to a varied client portfolio. The role involves planning and executing audit engagements, preparing financial statements, and supporting junior team members, while working closely with Audit Managers and senior stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform audit engagements for local and international clients
  • Plan, execute, and complete audits in accordance with IFRSs and ISAs
  • Prepare financial statements and audit reports
  • Manage multiple audit assignments and meet tight deadlines
  • Communicate with clients via email and phone regarding audit matters
  • Report audit progress, issues, and completion status to the Audit Manager
  • Assist with preparation of clients’ tax returns and tax computations
  • Support and collaborate with Managers, Supervisors, and audit staff
  • Ensure management instructions and internal procedures are followed at all times


Requirements

  • University degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Newly qualified or partly qualified accountant
  • Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in an audit firm
  • Knowledge of Caseware Audit software
  • Strong command of Greek and English (written and spoken)
  • Knowledge of the financial services industry is an advantage
  • Strong organisational, communication, and time management skills
  • High attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Team-oriented, responsible, and able to build strong client relationships
  • Strong academic background
