We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Architect to join our client, a family amusement park based in Camden Town, London. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of professional experience in architecture, with a strong focus on mixed-use commercial projects. The candidate should be proficient in managing and collaborating with external consultants on projects from schematic development to construction, with a grounded understanding of architectural detailing, international standards and legislation.

 

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the technical team of commercial real estate companies to understand possible layout options within structural limitations.
  • Prepare detailed DWG files reflecting the finalized layout designs.
  • Oversee the implementation of the plan with various construction providers.
  • Develop and amend architectural designs and prepare construction documents/specifications.
  • Ensure all designs comply with international standards and legislation, particularly for mixed-use buildings.
  • Provide immediate and constructive feedback to external consultants regarding design and construction processes.
  • Coordinate with engineers, consultants, contractors, and subcontractors to deliver high-quality project outcomes.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends, standards, and legislation to ensure compliance and innovation in all projects.
  • Conduct site inspections/visits to ensure project specifications and standards are met.
  • Review and amend work plans according to project needs and deadlines.
  • Participate in project meetings and provide expertise on design, construction detailing, and best practices.

 

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in architecture, with significant involvement in large-scale projects.
  • Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit. (Any other software knowledge will be considered an advantage)
  • Strong proficiency in Adobe software (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of international standards and legislation for various typologies, especially mixed-use commercial buildings
  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture
  • Master’s degree in Architecture
  • Excellent design and visualization skills, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, and effective communication skills.
  • Experience working on large-scale international projects will be considered an advantage.
  • A proven track record of leading successful project teams will be considered an advantage.
