We are seeking an experienced Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer, or Legal Executive to take a leading role in establishing and growing the firm’s presence in North Rotherham. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in residential property law, particularly in new build purchases, and the ambition to act as the lead fee earner for this office location.
This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of a portfolio of conveyancing matters, drive business growth, and play a key role in shaping the firm’s expansion strategy, all while enjoying the full support of an experienced and CQS-accredited conveyancing team.
Responsibilities
- Manage a varied residential conveyancing caseload, including sales, purchases, leaseholds, and new build transactions
- Act as the lead fee-earner for the location, taking ownership of client relationships and operational success
- Provide exceptional client service, ensuring a smooth and efficient transaction process from instruction to completion
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, developers, estate agents, and mortgage lenders
- Play a pivotal role in the growth of the office, including assisting in the recruitment and mentorship of new team members
- Supervise and support junior staff where appropriate, fostering professional development and a collaborative team environment
- Ensure full compliance with all regulatory requirements and firm policies
- Contribute to business development efforts and the firm’s continued growth in the region
- Collaborate closely with colleagues across offices to ensure consistent delivery of high-quality legal services
Requirements
- Qualified Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer, or Legal Executive with extensive experience in residential conveyancing
- Strong background in new build property transactions is essential
- Demonstrated success managing complex conveyancing caseloads independently
- Proven leadership or supervisory experience with the ability to mentor and develop junior team members
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Entrepreneurial mindset and a proactive approach to business development
- Confident communicator with excellent interpersonal and client-facing skills
- A strong work ethic and commitment to maintaining high professional standards
