Responsibilities
- Conduct audit engagements for a diverse portfolio of clients across various industries, ensuring compliance with International Standards on Auditing (ISA) and local regulations
- Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
- Perform analytical reviews, risk assessments, and internal control evaluations during audit planning and execution
- Identify potential audit issues or irregularities and propose practical recommendations for improvement
- Collaborate with team members to meet deadlines and ensure high-quality deliverables
- Communicate effectively with clients to obtain necessary information and ensure a clear understanding of audit requirements
- Support senior auditors and management in the preparation of audit reports and other financial documents
- Maintain professional knowledge through ongoing learning and staying informed of changes in accounting and auditing standards
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
- Minimum 2 years of experience in external audit (experience in an audit firm will be considered an advantage)
- Good knowledge of IFRS and ISA standards
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Word
- Knowledge of CaseWare or similar audit software will be considered an advantage
- Excellent command of the English language (both written and verbal); knowledge of Greek will be considered an advantage
- Strong analytical, organisational, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Professional, detail-oriented, and able to meet tight deadlines
- Studying toward ACCA or ACA qualification will be considered an asset
