Salary: €18,000 – €40,000 gross per annum (depending on experience)

Responsibilities

• Design, prototype, and test new telecom and cloud communication solutions
• Explore and experiment with new technologies to identify innovative applications within telecom and messaging platforms
• Collaborate with the development team to transform research outputs into scalable product features
• Conduct performance benchmarking, proof-of-concepts, and feasibility studies
• Document experimental findings, architecture designs, and research conclusions
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal systems, tools, and technical methodologies
• Stay informed on the latest trends and advancements in software development, cloud platforms, and communications technology
• Present findings and recommendations to engineering leadership and cross-functional teams

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
• Strong interest in R&D and exploring innovative tech applications
• Programming experience in one or more languages such as Java, PHP, Python, or C++
• Understanding of REST APIs, microservices, and backend architectures
• Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments and basic scripting
• Analytical mindset and strong problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team setting
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills

Desirable

• Experience with telecom protocols (e.g. SIP, SMPP, WebRTC)
• Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, or cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Exposure to NoSQL and SQL databases (e.g. MongoDB, MySQL)
• Background in research, prototyping, or product innovation
• Open-source contributions or academic publications in related fields
