Position Description

The Generations Pastor will provide leadership and oversight for all ministries from birth to young adults, ensuring that each ministry aligns with The Grove’s vision of making disciples who

make disciples. This role will directly oversee the Kids Ministry (preschool and elementary), the Student

Ministry (middle and high school), and the Young Adult Ministry, while ensuring that ministry leaders, volunteers, and parents are equipped and empowered to serve their respective communities effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Visionary Leadership – Cast vision and provide directional leadership for all generational ministries, ensuring alignment with the church’s mission to make disciples who make disciples.
• Ministry Oversight – Provide direct oversight to the Kids Ministry, Youth Ministry, & Young Adult Ministry.
• Discipleship Focus – Ensure that every generation under your care is being discipled to know Christ, grow in their faith, and make
• disciples of others. Also create and implement discipleship pathways that are age-appropriate and encourage spiritual development at each life stage.
• Team Development – Recruit, develop, and lead a high-capacity team of staff and volunteers who are passionate about generational ministries.
• Administrative Leadership – Develop and manage budgets for each generational ministry area, ensuring good stewardship of resources. Also collaborate with the church leadership team to ensure alignment with the overall vision and mission of the church.
• Communication & Collaboration – Serve as the primary communicator between parents, staff, volunteers, and the broader church body regarding all generational ministry matters.
