Our client is a well- respected player in the property development finance arena who have achieved outstanding success and growth in the last decade. Today they support property developers with access to important funds for key projects and are well funded and pushing for further growth.
With capacity to fund against residential, commercial and semi-commercial assets, they have become known for delivering large scale funding solutions for developers quickly and effectively, which has inspired confidence and drives high levels of repeat borrowing and business.
As the business has developed, it has also expanded, including their own property development arm with the owners and board demonstrating the broadest possible understanding of property development, which inspires confidence in their borrowers.
Ongoing success means our client is keen to identify and onboard a proactive and hungry BDM who will assist with the growth of the development loan book.
Role Overview
As BDM your primary focus will be identifying and securing new funding opportunities within the residential, commercial, and semi-commercial development finance sector, with the objective of delivering comprehensive funding solutions for your clients.
To achieve this, you will strategically manage your own diary of appointments with introducers and brokers, and/or directly with property investors, developers or contractors who require funding support.
Ultimately, you will work towards an agreed annual lending target to assist with growth objectives and will be measured against this throughout the year.
The team is collaborative in approach, meaning you will work closely with the firms other BDMs on shared opportunities whilst being heavily supported by our clients experienced team of credit and loan transaction execution specialists to achieve key completion deadlines.

Candidate Requirements
The ideal individual for this role will be experienced in development finance lending and is likely to have worked in ground-up development finance previously.
You will be well connected in the market to brokers, introducers and developers who are likely to require funding. You will be comfortable when setting your business development strategy to originate the right level of debt quantum to achieve lending targets that will be agreed.
Due to the nature of the loan, you will be a strong negotiator and will have the capacity to manage the needs of developers and their funding requirements. It is expected that you will have a reasonable idea of what a ‘good development deal’ looks like to assist with deal assessment and credit paper development.
You’ll thrive in target driven environments, enjoy engaging with new and old contacts and will be a strong and persuasive communicator with plenty of personality.
Candidate Requirements
On Offer
Our client is ideally looking to pay up to c£60k as a basic package for the ideal individual, relevant to experience. Higher offers could be considered for exceptional direct experience and success in the development finance lending field.
Salary will be complemented by access to our clients’ incredible bonus and benefits scheme that will give the opportunity for you to achieve between c50-100% in addition to annual salary, offering a substantial OTE for achieving objectives.
Lastly, the growth outlined also creates long-term growth opportunity for the successful candidate for this role. Our client is known for operating a strong promote from within policy for those that excel within the business and as the business continues to scale, opportunities to propel salary & career standing forward within may be prevalent, as excellent performance is delivered.
This is a home-based role with lots of UK travel, so ensure that this is something you are comfortable with, before applying. Our client’s HQ is in Manchester so the capacity to travel to the office each week (1/2 days) may be required).
