They are keen to bolster their sales function with the appointment of an experienced & proactive Sales Director to drive lending volumes and to help the business achieve exciting objectives in the coming years.
The Company
Our client is renowned in the market for supporting property developers and investors with access to debt for key property projects. With capacity to lend against commercial, semi-commercial and residential assets, they support a broad & diverse range of borrowers through a targeted range of bridging, development exit, commercial mortgage, BTL and investment loans.
To support an expansive and growing product set, our client also offers a fantastic range of loan values and structures, lending from c£250k-£100m+ with a strong capacity to create bespoke solutions for clients, where required.
Our client has grown substantially in recent years, with plans to achieve this same feat for the foreseeable. Due to this, they have grown a large and impactful sales team that requires an experienced and motivational sales leader to drive future success and the continued growth of the team to meet demand.
Role Overview
As Sales Director you will ultimately be responsible for achieving the lenders annual lending objectives and will work collaboratively with other business heads across the business to drive success.
To achieve this, you will devise and execute your business development strategy with the team. You will inherit and grow a large sales team made up of Heads of Sales, Team Leaders, Key Account Managers, Senior BDMs, BDMs and Internal BDMs. You will inherit a team with a mix of experience and tenure and will recruit into this team, to meet lending targets.
Day to day, you will support the team by attending broker visits and events as well as overseeing performance to internal KPI’s, delivering impactful training and development sessions and working to upskill and drive the performance of both the individual and the collective.
Broadly, you will play a key role in business planning and expansion decisions, as the driving force behind sales delivery and as the face in the market. This may involve aspects such as product development and market needs, commercial activity that drives profitability, market expansion and aspects such as marketing strategies that drive success.
Critically, you will undertake any activity that drives sales excellence and delivers lending growth, in line with ambitions.

Candidate Requirements
The ideal candidate for this role must be a highly accomplished professional from the bridging, BTL, CRE or development finance space. You will have a demonstrable track record of leading growing sales teams with a track record of success against sales, lending or revenue targets.
Success will require someone who is target drive and success orientated. Equally comfortable devising strategy as rolling up your sleeves and supporting the day-to-day, you will be flexible in your approach, with a management style that ensures you can consider different profiles of team member, at varying levels of experience and knowledge.
You will be engaging and motivational, quick to bring others on your journey with a shared sense of success and goal. You will be passionate about property lending and the industry, keen to enhance and find improvements in all areas.
Lastly, you will be proactive. Quick to spot opportunities or problems and ready to face them head on.
On Offer
Our client is ideally looking to pay between £120k - £150k as a basic salary for the ideal individual, which will be relevant to experience. Higher offers may also be considered for an exceptional track record of sales leadership in the outlined markets.
Salary will be complemented by access to our client’s favourable bonus scheme too, which can allow you to earn a significant OTE (c100%) of salary, relevant to performance.
Critically, as our client is on a huge growth curve, opportunities to propel salary & career standing forward within may be prevalent, as excellent performance is delivered. Due to the marriage of current success and future ambition, it is expected that the sales hierarchy will continue to grow, ensuring you are always working towards that ‘next big thing’ as the business succeeds, and you play a lead role in that.
This is a home-based role, though due to the senior nature of it, you will be required to attend London HQ periodically to spend time with the internal sales team and attend strategy or senior level meetings.
