City + Capital are currently representing a highly respected & fast-growing specialist property finance lender who are keen to expand their sales senior leadership team. They require a regional Head of Sales who will play a key role in the attainment of exciting lending growth objectives.

Our client is a leading specialist property finance lender who have built a strong reputation for providing fast, flexible, and tailored property finance solutions to borrowers and intermediaries across the UK. The company specialises in bridging loans, buy-to-let mortgages, commercial mortgages and development exit loans designed to support the needs of property investors and developers & their associated projects and portfolios.   

 

They are widely recognised for their entrepreneurial approach, enabling them to underwrite and deploy loans at pace to meet urgent client requirements. This covers commercial, semi-commercial and residential assets & a broad range of loan sizes, from c£100k - £100m.  

 

Its ambitious leadership team has exciting plans to expand within existing & new property sectors, supported by strong and secure funding lines built on their longevity and success since launch.

They are seeking an experienced and dynamic Regional Head of Sales as outlined below. 

 

Role Overview  

 

As Regional Head of Sales you will inherit and a grow a team of field based and internal BDMs who operate in patches across the North of the Midlands. Your ultimate objective will be to set the strategy and achieve the delivery of the regional lending targets that support that broader commercial objectives of the business.  

 

BDMs work on a ‘one to one’ basis with their own Internal BDM. The Internal BDM is focussed on identifying and engaging with new, strategic relationships, lining up meetings for the BDMs and acting as the glue between sales and operations, post origination. BDMs are responsible for client meetings and ultimate patch objectives.  

 

Within the role you will expect to deliver high levels of coaching and development for your team, travelling across the region to join broker meetings and events and to upskill your sales team in all aspects that support strong originations and completions. 

 

You will connect closely with other internal functions to ensure progression of the enquiry pipeline, notably underwriting, credit & completions. You will work closely with the marketing department to elevate your team’s market profile, and the individual profile of each salesperson.  

  

Responsibilities  

  

  • Inherit and grow a team of external and internal Business Development Managers  
  • Agree & execute the regional sales strategy to achieve lending objectives  
  • Set, monitor and drive key KPIs that support lending and revenue objectives  
  • Devise and deliver impactful training that upskills the team & drives performance  
  • Travel across the region to support your team in broker and client meetings 
  • Represent the business as a key face in the market at events 
  • Collaborate closely with the Heads of Underwriting to drive the pipleine forward  
  • Collaborate with marketing to enhance the image of your team & service in the region  
  • Support the structuring of complex or larger value lending enquiries  
  • Report on regional performance on a periodical basis  
  • Impact product development utilising market feedback and innovation  

 

Candidate Requirements  

 

  • A proven track record of achieving targets in the bridging, CRE or BTL sector  
  • Demonstrable experience in mentorship or leadership of sales teams & targets  
  • A strong understanding of what makes a ‘good deal’ in the specialist lending space 
  • Highly collaborative and works well with other departments & external stakeholders 
  • Exceptional client management skills and a strong reputation in the broker space  
  • Comfortable managing a team and key account simultaneously  
  • Highly proactive and self-motivated with a “hands-on” leadership style  
  • Engaging communicator who inspires confidence and motivates teams  
  • Ambitious and keen to grow with the firm

On Offer  

 

Our client is willing to pay a competitive salary, based on experience. The salary banding for this role is between £85k - £120k to consider the differences in experience across the market. Higher offers may also be considered for exceptional talent.  

 

Salary will be complemented by access to X2 favourable uncapped commission structures that reward you directly for performance. This will drive an outstanding OTE for attainment of target, though total earnings are in your hand, due to the uncapped element.
