The Department of Psychiatry is searching for occasional locums to cover weekends and peak vacation times for on-call inpatient psychiatry, and occasionally, for outpatient services.
The Timmins and District Hospital is a 225-bed district hospital serving a local population of 41,000 and a catchment area of 110,000. Timmins is located in Northeastern Ontario and is a fully accredited referral and teaching hospital and offers a full range of Medical, Surgical, Critical Care, Maternal/Child, Long-Term Care, and Mental Health Services.

The service of General Psychiatry provides a variety of inpatient and outpatient services for patients in Timmins and across the District. The inpatient unit consists of 22 adult beds for the diagnosis and treatment of patients with a variety of mental illnesses.
Remuneration is as per HFO Guidelines for the Northern Locum Program.
Your traveling expenses of airfare and/or mileage, local car rental, and accommodations will be covered.
