We have a position open for an Applications Engineer in North Texas with a growing Power Distribution company. In this role, you will provide analysis of customer specifications and the development of proposals. This is a hybrid position with occasional travel to the North Texas office. 

As a Senior Applications Engineer, you will:

• Review customer specifications to assess feasibility.

• Review drawings to include single-lines, three-lines, elevations, control schematics, site plans and enclosure layouts.

• Serve as company’s technical subject matter expert for Sales.

• Collaborate with electrical and mechanical engineering teams to gain a comprehensive understanding of the company’s products and capabilities.

• Evaluate potential risks, limitations, and concerns prior to writing proposal.

• Create proposals for customers. 

Qualifications:

• BS in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

• Familiarity with relevant standard: UL/IEC/IEEE/NEMA

• 5+ years of experience in estimating, applications engineering, sales engineering or similar in Electrical, Power Generation, or Power Distribution fields.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD for drafting.

• In depth knowledge of IEEE, ANSI, NEC, and other standards.

• Knowledge of Switchgear or similar power distribution equipment plus.
