Senior Analytical Data Engineer – Hybrid in Miami, FL, or Chicago, IL

Overview:

We are seeking a Senior Analytical Data Engineer to join a high-impact Data & Analytics organization focused on developing analytical solutions that fuel business decision-making. This position plays a key role in engineering use-case-specific datasets, supporting business intelligence, and enabling advanced analytics teams with scalable, high-quality data products. You’ll work closely with data science, BI, and product teams to deliver value-driven insights, contributing directly to strategic initiatives across multiple business units.

Key Responsibilities:

• Engineer data pipelines that transform and organize raw data into curated datasets tailored to business use cases
• Collaborate with product, BI, and data science teams to scope, develop, and iterate on analytics-ready solutions
• Ensure compliance with data quality standards and promote documentation of processes and data flows
• Contribute to feature creation for predictive models and operational analytics
• Support QA efforts and continuous improvement across all development cycles
• Implement governance best practices and ensure secure and traceable data access across environments
• Engage in agile development and delivery cycles with frequent stakeholder interaction

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering or analytics engineering roles
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, and PySpark
• Hands-on experience with modern data platforms (e.g., Databricks, AWS, Spark)
• Knowledge of data modeling, ETL/ELT pipelines, and data architecture
• Strong collaboration skills with both technical and non-technical teams
• Experience with tools such as Git, Jenkins, Jira, and Confluence
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (advanced degree a plus)
