Business Development Specialist

The focus of this role is to develop sales, reaching planned targets in Romania, inline with the EMEA strategy and objectives. Generating new customers, improving customer retention and cross selling.

The successful candidate will have experience in industrial sales and be open to inside sales activities.


Responsibilities:


  • Comprehensively understand product range and proactively maximise all sales opportunities
  • Work to achieve sales and growth targets
  • Key target is the successful growth of the business in Romania  
  • Provide proactive care to key accounts and mid-size accounts, monitor their orders and ensure regular customer contact
  • Preparation and follow up of sales quotations and appropriate customer leads
  • Progressing focussed projects from initial lists to actual invoiced sales
  • Undertake proactive initiatives to grow sales; i.e. via , proactive calling, working on lapsed accounts and the generation and follow up of new prospects in niche markets
  • Manage customer concerns and complaints effectively to minimise the effect on the customer, in cooperation with customer service 
  • Operate effectively within current company policies and procedures
  • Develop effective working relationships with other team members, internal departments and sister companies, as well as customers
  • Maintain accurate customer records and sales development activities
  • Participate in certain marketing tasks, supporting the marketing specialist responsible for Hungary and Romania
  • Willingness to visit customers occasionally
  • Participate in team briefings and communicate with the team leader and other team members to address issues and develop a wider range of skills
  • Participate in specific projects and team activities as required



Required Skills & Experience:


  • Bachelor degree (technical preferred)
  • Proven sales experience in B2B environment (technical preferred)
  • Ability to deal with stakeholders across the business (technical, buyer, management)
  • Fluent English skill written and verbal
  • Task and result focused
  • Effective communicator both verbal and written
