Job Description
The Head of Finance for Mexico is the senior finance leader for the Mexico operations, accountable for end-to-end financial leadership, governance, and value creation. The role acts as the principal finance business partner to the General Manager and Americas leadership team, ensuring alignment with regional and Group strategy while driving sustainable performance.

Typical Accountabilities:
- Prepare monthly reports of results, monthly forecasts, annual operating plan
- Owns the full P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, and performance agenda for Mexico.
- Leads financial strategy execution at country or sub-regional level, translating Group priorities into local action.

- Maintains accounting and financial records and reports, including general ledger, financial statements, regulatory and management reports
- Create journal entries to correct balances in the general ledger
- Prepare the reconciliations of the asset and liabilities balances from one accounting period to the next, reconciling the General Ledger balances to the support documentation.
- Establishes and maintains accounting policies and controls, fiscal controls, preparing financial reports and safeguarding the organization's assets
- Support internal controls review: due diligence (Customers / Suppliers review before to update the system), credit limit for customers, control file, etc.
- Act as trusted advisor to the General Manager and senior leadership on performance, investment, and risk decisions.
- Drive enterprise value creation through margin improvement, working capital optimisation, pricing discipline, and cost structure transparency.
- Own capital allocation and investment governance including capex appraisal, ROI tracking, and post-investment reviews.
- Work closely with the FP&A team for any booking needs or corrections. Also join force to work out customer profitability process.
- Maintain strong financial control, statutory compliance, and governance while ensuring controls support growth and decision-making.
- Lead financial risk management including FX exposure, inflation, regulatory change, and supply chain risk.
- Lead financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and long-range planning for Mexico, aligned with Americas and Group expectations
- Provide cost and manufacturing variance analyses to provide insight and improve company performance
- Appraise the company’s financial position and issue reports to Region headquarters, and corporate headquarters on the organization’s financial status and growth
- Ensure the integrity, accuracy, and completeness of the organization's records and financial statements ensuring timely preparation and presentation as required by organizational headquarters and parent company, the Board, regulatory agencies, and for management and guidance of the business
- Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision making issues affecting the organization, such as product pricing, cost structure, fixed asset expenditures, new employee benefit programs working closely with the Financial Planning & Analysis department
- Build finance capability beyond accounting, strengthening business partnering, analytical depth, and leadership skills.
- Provide functional leadership, mentoring, and standards setting for finance teams across Latin America on a dotted-line basis
- Analyze operational issues as well as outside general economic, business, or regulatory changes and report their potential impact on the company, including foreign currency impacts and local operational regulation changes
- Lead, develop, and coach the Mexico finance organization, ensuring a strong talent pipeline and succession plan
- Hold full responsibility and accountability for corporate governance and compliance with government laws as they relate to this position
- Oversee and coordinate the interactions with Internal and External Auditors, Legal counsel, government agencies, tax consultants, and other organizations impacting the financial condition of the company

- Represents Mexico Finance in Americas and Group finance forums, driving alignment and best practice sharing.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree of Accounting or Finance
- 7-10 years of experience in accounting, including leadership experience in accounting/finance
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills including fluency in English (both spoken and written)
- Experience leading, coaching, and mentoring a team of professionals
- Experience with oversight of internal and external financial audits
- Hands-on experience of all functions of an Accounting Department including general ledger, payables, receivables, monthly closing process and procedures, cash management, credit & collections, tax, IIT, fixed asset accounting, balance sheet & working capital management, and financial statement preparation
- Strong technical accounting, statutory, and regulatory expertise for Mexico.
- Experience working directly with outside parties such as Auditors, Tax Authorities, Local government regulators.
- High level of computer proficiency and experience, including hands-on use of ERP/MRP system used in manufacturing standard costing, Supervisory accounting department experience.
- Experience preparing financial reporting and detailed cost analyses.
- Experience presenting financial results, forecasts, budgets, and other presentations to senior leadership
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong commercial finance, FP&A, and business partnering capability in manufacturing or operational environments.
