Maintenance Technician - Dip Mold

Essentra is looking to hire a Maintenance Technician for our Dip Mold and Tooling departments. This will be based at our Erie, PA facility. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the general maintenance and repairs of the building and grounds as well as managing the preventive maintenance program of the machines and tooling.

  • $500.00 to be paid at first pay period after hire.
  • $500.00 to be paid after 45 days of employment.
  • $1,000.00 to be paid after 90 days of employment.
  • Compensation - Starting at $20.00-$22.00/hour

Job duties:


  • Perform routine service to dip molding equipment following our preventive maintenance program.
  • Assist our maintenance personnel with trouble shooting and repairing the dip molding equipment.
  • Clean and perform minor repairs to tooling and frames.
  • Submit work orders, when needed, in the CMMS system.
  • Breakdown and reassemble tooling according to master job schedule.
  • Perform tool cleaning procedure per WI-PRO-019, if required, prior to next production run.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Assist maintenance department with installation of new equipment.
  • Capture appropriate down time codes in our Mattec scheduling system.
  • Fill in as Dip Mold Operator as needed.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed based on the needs of the business.
  • The work schedule is Monday – Friday 8 AM – 5:00 PM (hours may be changed due to business needs)


Required skills:


  • Two years of industrial maintenance experience
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Basic math and computer skills.
  • Must have current, valid driver’s license.
  • Work safely in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to read and write in English.
  • Must be a team player and have good interpersonal skills.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Good problem-solving skills.
  • Work independently
  • High school diploma or GED


Preferred skills:


  • Experience with following: hydraulics, industrial wiring, electrical troubleshooting, PLC controls, and/or gas fired ovens
  • Forklift experience
  • Welding experience
  • Basic machining experience
  • Certification in hydraulics and electricity is a BIG plus
