Junior Credit Controller

This role is based at our Wixroyd site in Chichester and is fully on-site.

We are currently looking for a Junior Credit Controller to join a dynamic and versatile team until end of December 2025. The role covers a wide range of credit control related activities and will provide great exposure to the wider finance team.


This is a perfect opportunity for an individual looking to expand their skills but would also be perfect for someone looking to enter the world of accounting and finance and gain invaluable experience working as part of a global company.



Responsibilities:


  • Monitoring debtor payment patterns and adjusting credit limits as required.  
  • Maintaining high level of customer service while ensuring prompt payments from customers.  
  • Checking daily reports from the Credit reference agency and adjusting terms if required.  
  • Responding to customer queries by email and telephone.  
  • Raising invoices and credit notes.  
  • Sending statements and Dunning letters monthly.  
  • Reconciling accounts. 
  • Providing administrative support to finance team.  
  • Entering daily receipts.  
  • Processing credit card payments and refunds.  
  • Reporting aged debtors to the Finance manager highlighting potential risks and measures taken to mitigate risks.  
  • Assisting in month end process and reconciling Debtors report to the control account.  
  • Ad hoc duties as required.  


Skills and Experience:


  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.  
  • The ability to follow procedures & policies to a high standard.
  • Positive attitude.
  • Professional telephone manner.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good organisational skills.
  • Comfortable with high volume of work.
  • Computer literate including MS Products.
  • Knowledge of Opera Pegasus would be advantageous but there will be ERP training provided.
