Essentra is immediately hiring for Machine Operators located in the Erie, PA area to join our production team. As a Machine Operator you will be responsible for packaging finished molded products while monitoring product quality. 1st shift 6:00-2:30, 2nd shift is 2:00-10:30, and 3rd shift is 10:00pm-6:30am. 2nd and 3rd shift jobs include a $2.00 per hour shift differential.

What you will do:

• Perform cavitation checks/functional gaging as required
• Assemble product cartons (packaging)
• Place molded parts onto inspection table, inspect for quality (sort when necessary)
• Fill cartons with quality product. Seal and label per work instructions
• Place cartons on pallet, label pallet, and move full pallet to staging
• Ability to work overtime as needed based on the needs of the business
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe work environment

• Basic math and computer skills
• Basic knowledge of equipment/tools and how they are used
• Ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment
• Must be able to read and write in English
• High School Diploma or GED
• Must be able to work the hours for your assigned shift and have good attendance.
• Willingness to participate in background check and drug testing process once an offer is made.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment is preferred but not required. Willing to train motivated individuals.
