The Customer Service Specialist is responsible for accurate and timely processing of customer orders and other customer requirements. The role includes maintaining and updating data in internal systems, providing professional customer support via phone and email. Ensuring clear communication about order status, availability and any changes. The position requires close cooperation with internal departments, strong customer orientation and full ownership of order management, while following company policies, processes and quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent customer support via phone and email while building strong B2B relationships
- Process customer orders accurately and on time, including confirmations and updates
- Maintain and update customer data in internal systems
- Communicate proactively with customers about order status, product availability, and delivery timelines
- Cooperate with internal departments (e.g. sales, logistics, production, finance) to ensure smooth order fulfilment
- Handle customer issues and complaints in a professional and timely manner
- Ensure compliance with internal processes, data accuracy, and company policies
- Contribute to customer satisfaction and support business growth through a proactive approach
Required Skills & Experience:
- Secondary education with a completed diploma
- Strong customer-oriented mindset and willingness to communicate with customers and colleagues
- Good user-level computer skills (MS Office); experience with CRM systems is an advantage
- Reliability, responsibility, attention to detail and ability to work independently
- English skills for written communication and understanding internal materials
- Romanian language as a fluent speaker is must
- Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to tasks
- Team-oriented mindset with a collaborative approach to achieving common goals
Desirable Skills & Experience:
- General knowledge of mechanical engineering or technical fields
- Previous experience in customer service or in sales/purchasing of industrial components, fasteners or plastic products
- Familiarity with basic measuring tools (e.g. calipers) and technical terminology
- Experience with CRM/ERP systems, ideally Microsoft Dynamics 365
- Interest in technical products and willingness to further develop industry knowledge
