As a key member of the Data Management team the position is responsible for the creation, control & advancement of master data in order to meet the demands of internal customers throughout all of the AMER Components facilities.
Responsibilities:
Create, Align and Maintain Master Data for AMER Components Facilities
- Complete all data management requests (e.g. item setup, planning parameters, production tooling).
- Complete all change requests (CSS code updates, pricing updates, etc.) in an accurate and timely fashion.
- Actively participate in the drive for continuous improvement in service provided by the Data Management team to each area of the business.
- Ensure consistent and comprehensive data setup to include all AMER Components facilities.
- Participate in Investigating root causes for master data inaccuracies, and the incorporation of resources from all relevant areas of the business to deliver necessary resolutions.
Process & Procedure Improvements
- Work in collaboration with all internal customers to understand their master data requirements and how these can be best supported.
- Identify opportunities and participate in projects to improve master data policies/procedures.
- Seek to implement automated solutions wherever possible; delivering both a greater level of accuracy and maintenance efficiency.
- Create process documents/library of existing processes and new processes to include updating in a timely manner as these change over time.
Data Integrity Program
- Participate in the design, documentation and implementation of comprehensive program of master data audits that are repeatable year-on-year. Focus areas are; (i) item data, (ii) replenishment parameters & intercompany sourcing links, (iii) vendor pricing & lead-times, and (iv) manufactured BOM’s & routing.
- Work to ensure completion within targeted timelines.
- Identify appropriate measures in order to maintain excellent data integrity across all systems, and wherever possible automate the reporting of these measures.
- Ensure data is entered / maintained accurately within BPCS / D365 ERP systems
- Various reporting on a regular basis, including reporting dashboards to illustrate data integrity
Required Skills & Experience:
- Proactive and able to effectively problem solve.
- Excellent reasoning and analytical ability.
- Demonstrate excellent data analysis & presentation skills, and solid communication of both written & verbal information with attention to detail maintained throughout.
- A good understanding of ERP systems (preferably BPCS and/or D365).
- Previous significant track record of master data management & improvement, which maintained a customer service focus, within both an international and multi-site environment.
- Knowledge of the businesses reporting systems desirable; Cognos, data warehouse (DW) with ability to analyse/manipulate through use of Excel/Access.
- First class communication and interpersonal skills to successfully work with, influence & engage colleagues of varied nationalities and at all levels of the business.
- Ability to multi-task and work in a high-pressure fast paced environment maintaining focus on detail, and supporting team environment.
- Commitment to working towards measurable results, demonstrated by an impeccable work ethic to go beyond the normal confines of KPIs & targets on a repeatable basis.
- Ability to create AS400 intermediate level queries and having some experience of mass updating data using SQL
- Highly organized individual who can manage time effectively, prioritize tasks and manage several projects simultaneously.
- Present an extremely ethical attitude & approach at all times, and work effectively within culturally diverse teams.
- Ability to represent the Company in a professional & appropriate manner in all situations.
- SQL experience (reading data / writing queries) desired
